Position Summary
The Supervision Specialist (SS) plays a critical role in ensuring that court-ordered parent-child contact occurs in a safe, neutral, and supportive environment. The SS is responsible for observing, monitoring, and documenting supervised visitations and safe exchanges between parents, caregivers, and children. Through objective observation and detailed documentation, the SS helps support the family court process while promoting positive parent-child interactions.
The Supervision Specialist serves as a neutral third party and must maintain professionalism, impartiality, and adherence to all f.a.c.e.s. policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise court-ordered visitations and safe exchanges between parents, caregivers, and children.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants throughout the visitation or exchange.
- Maintain a safe, clean, structured, and child-focused environment that supports healthy parent-child interactions.
- Observe and accurately document behaviors, interactions, and significant events during visits and exchange in an objective manner.
- Prepare detailed, objective, and factual visitation reports within 48 hours of completing each visit. This is mandatory
- Submit reports according to agency standards, court requirements, and established deadlines.
- Maintain neutrality and avoid favoritism, bias, or advocacy for either parent or any party involved in the case.
- Follow all court orders, agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety protocols.
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers and admin staff at f.a.c.e.s
- Immediately report safety concerns, violations of court orders, incidents, or emergencies to the admin staff at f.a.c.e.s.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in an organized manner.
- Complete all required training courses
- Understand and memorize the program description/polices the parents sign for SV services.
Licensed Therapist
Full Description
This is a licensed therapist position with a strong forensic/family-court focus, rather than a traditional outpatient therapy role.
The main things they appear to be looking for are:
• Florida licensure: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
• Experience with high-conflict families, particularly custody, divorce, reunification, or court-involved cases.
• Ability to provide court-ordered services, including supervised visitation, individual/family therapy, and reunification therapy.
• Comfort with clinical documentation, comprehensive reports, and court testimony.
• Ability to remain objective and clinically ethical while following the parameters of a court order.
• Strong boundary-setting and conflict-management skills.
• Spanish-speaking ability is required for the Sunday Coral Gables need and is otherwise described as strongly preferred.
• Availability in the Fort Lauderdale office Monday–Friday, 3–8 PM, plus some weekend availability.
• Interest in eventually moving into a clinical leadership role, including reviewing documentation, overseeing clinical quality, providing direction to other clinicians, and potentially signing off on notes/reports.
